Account Executive – AI and Automation

As an Account Executive, you’ll be on the front lines of this transformation — helping customers harness the cutting edge of AI and automation. This role is entrepreneurial, consultative, and fast-moving. You’ll drive customer acquisition and expansion across SMBs and enterprises, working closely with the CEO and Stellar team.

The ideal candidate is a hustler: confident selling at all levels of the organization, curious enough to dig into workflows and processes, and relentless in following deals through from first conversation to closed contract. You’ll be responsible for both direct sales and channel-led opportunities, ensuring execution on opportunities surfaced by Stellar leaders and channel partners. Candidates with a background in technology services sales, particularly within a systems integrator or consulting practice, will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Business Growth

  • Own a new business quota for Stellar’s AI and Automation practice.
  • Hunt and close new accounts across SMBs, mid-market, and enterprise clients.
  • Execute on opportunities sourced by Stellar leadership and channel partners, ensuring follow-through and customer success.
  • Manage both direct sales and channel responsibilities, including collaborating with partners on channel-led opportunities.
  • Expand relationships within existing accounts, aligning Stellar solutions to evolving business challenges.

Consultative Selling

  • Lead discovery conversations to uncover business processes ripe for automation and AI enablement.
  • Translate business needs into compelling solution roadmaps that balance value creation and technical feasibility.
  • Create and present proposals, solutions, and ROI cases to stakeholders ranging from line managers to C‑level executives.
  • Drive the full pre-sales process, including scoping discussions, proposal and SOW creation, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Create and deliver high-impact collateral (presentations, proposals, solution briefs).
  • Collaborate with Stellar’s engineers and consultants to ensure proposed solutions can be delivered successfully.
  • Recognize that AI is often only part of the solution for customers. Identify supporting IT and data initiatives for customers including cloud migrations to data lake deployments or similar cloud and data readiness efforts.

Pre-Sales & Enablement

  • Drive the full pre-sales process, including scoping discussions, proposal and SOW creation, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Collaborate with Stellar’s engineers and consultants to ensure proposed solutions can be delivered successfully.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and Stellar team to win high-value opportunities and expand client relationships.
  • Provide market feedback to shape Stellar’s offerings, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Support repeatable processes and frameworks that improve sales execution and client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 2 – 7 years of sales experience, ideally in AI, automation, or enterprise technology.
  • Proven track record in technology services sales, ideally from a systems integrator or consulting practice.
  • Proven success as an Account Executive or in a consultative sales role.
  • Strong hunter mentality — comfortable building pipeline and closing deals from scratch.
  • Consultative approach with the ability to map complex business needs to technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills; confident in boardrooms and working sessions alike.
  • Experience engaging across multiple industries a plus (manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, professional services).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter, and strong finisher.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
